Project Understanding has a number of programs designed to help people get back on their feet, providing a place to live and become self reliant. Below are programs that are available to people who need help.
The goal of this program is to assist those who desire to end their homelessness. SHORE at the WAV is Case Management of previously homeless families and individuals in permanent, supportive housing apartments subsidized by Section 8 funds.
Case management for previously homeless families housed in a (5) unit apartment complex.
Field case management services to homeless individuals who desire to change their life situation for the better.
The City Center is Ventura’s only transitional housing center that does not receive government funding. The City Center truly offers a handup…not just a handout…. through extensive case management as well as mentoring programs provided for its residents
Provides homeless pregnant women with safe housing and support services that promote self-sufficiency.
